Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the developer of Patapa (パタタイ, the "App"; "we") handles information. It applies to the App on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac.
1. Information kept on your device and in iCloud
Your timers, presets, focus and study history, skins and settings are stored only on your devices and in your own iCloud account (private database and key-value storage). We cannot access this information and it is never sent to our servers.
Notifications, alarms (AlarmKit), Live Activities, widgets and Siri/Shortcuts are processed on your device.
2. Information our server receives
To improve quality and prevent abuse, the App sends the following to our server (flipclock.koelearn.com, operated on Cloudflare). None of it identifies you or your device — no name, email address, advertising identifier (IDFA), IDFV or account ID.
- Usage counts: which predefined actions happened (for example "timer started" or "skin applied") and how often, with app version, platform, App Store country/region and language. Stored only as daily totals.
- Ad counts: requests, impressions and clicks per ad format (for example banner).
- Crash summaries: crash type and signature, up to 10 stack frames, app and OS version, and device model.
Your IP address reaches the server as part of every connection. It is used only for short-term rate limiting and is not stored or logged.
3. Purchases
Apple processes all in-app payments; we never receive your name or payment details. For revenue reporting, Apple's App Store Server Notifications tell us the product ID, price, currency, country/region, transaction IDs, purchase date and whether a purchase was refunded. Your purchases are verified on your device, not with this information.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
On iPhone and iPad the App shows ads through Google AdMob (Google LLC). There are no ads on Apple Watch, on Mac, in widgets or in notifications. If you buy Remove Ads or Pro, the ad SDK is not started.
To serve, measure and protect ads, Google may collect device identifiers (the IDFA if you allow tracking; developer-scoped identifiers such as the IDFV even if you do not), approximate location derived from your IP address, ad interaction data and diagnostics.
You choose whether to allow tracking in iOS's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, only non-personalized ads are shown and no App features are limited. Users in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland see a consent form on first launch, and US state privacy choices ("Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information") are supported. You can change these choices at any time under Privacy Settings in the App's settings.
See https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites for how Google handles data.
5. How we use information
- To provide the App, fix bugs and improve features
- To tune ad frequency and settings
- To understand revenue and usage
- To prevent abuse
We do not sell the information we receive.
6. Retention
Usage and ad counts are deleted after at most two years, crash summaries one year after they were last seen. Detailed purchase notifications are deleted 90 days after receipt; only the fields needed for revenue totals are kept.
7. Children
The App is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
8. Your rights
Because our server only holds aggregate data that is not linked to any person, we may be unable to locate, correct or delete data for an individual. Data on your devices and in iCloud can be deleted at any time by removing the App or through your iCloud settings. Please contact us with any questions.
9. Changes
We will post changes to this policy on this page and update the date above. Material changes will also be announced in the App.
